Spaghetto Chitarra

Spaghetti alla chitarra is a long, rough pasta shape, typical of the Abruzzo tradition. They take their name from the particular instrument used for their production, the chitarra, which consists of a structure with taut metal wires through which the dough is passed to obtain precise and regular cuts. Their rough surface, given by the drawing process, allows them to perfectly retain sauces, making them ideal for rich and tasty condiments such as ragù or meat sauces. Spaghetti alla chitarra are perfect for those looking for a rustic pasta with an authentic flavor.
